State of Auto Completion in CLion

Not sure if it is somehow related to AI (that plugin is a separate functionality) but it feels almost uncanny. Looks like in way too many cases it knows what I want to write when starting a function and just fills out the body. Might be saving me more time then AI itself.
The Java one (Idea) got a lot better in the last year or two too; I couldn't pinpoint exactly when it happened, but it did make me wonder if I'd turned on an AI feature by mistake!
I'm curious about this too; is this a local statistical language model of some kind or just a big improvement in their library of conventional pattern matching?
